  i have heard of this happening before, but how often?

  its pretty rare it seems.

  i have often wondered if the elders would go this route with me since they knew i was actively sinning, but as far as i know, no jc was ever formed.

  It all depends on how "zealous" the elders in your hall are whether they go after you or not. I was on elder bodies that didn't do that. They just let it be. In other elder bodies there would be an elder or two who wanted to make sure to keep "Jehovah's Organization" clean and wouldn't stop going after the faded person for years. Always trying to catch them doing something "wrong".

  Personal Update: 3 Months Out

  i've been mentally free of the watchtower for nine months now, three months ago i moved out of my parent's house and gave up any pretexts of being reinstated.

  in that time i've faced difficulties adjusting to my new life such as the new responsibilities i have in caring for my own needs, the loneliness that sometimes strikes when i miss my family, and the occasionally unshakable feeling of guilt over the way things are with them.. in that time, i've faced difficulties adjusting to my new life such as the new responsibilities i have in caring for my own needs, the loneliness that sometimes strikes when i miss my family, and the occasionally unshakable feeling of guilt over the way things are with them.. overall though, i feel better about my life now.

  i make an effort to really help people where i can by doing more than "praying for them" or "sharing a scripture.

  It sure isn't easy when your family wants nothing to do with you. That's what the cult does to people. Keep doing what you're doing making friends and expanding your horizons. You will be alot better and happier for it.

  mexico is by far the country where the witnesses have had the most success in the entire world.

  almost any statistic except the total amount of witnesses shows that mexico is where the witnesses have had the wildest success in the world.proportional to population, the witnesses in mexico are double, or nearly triple, what they are in the us or brazil.but there is "trouble in paradise".

  if mexico falls, pretty much the whole watchtower falls.which is why it is so important to have jwfacts translated to spanish.i made an analysis and things are looking bad in mexico... if trends continue, mexico will become just like the 1st-world countries.here is the first graph:maximum publisher % increase:.

  What's happening in Mexico is mirrored in the growth or lack thereof of the US Spanish congregations which account for about 350,000 of the US JWs. In years past Spanish congregations were growing like gangbusters, however that growth has slowed almost to a crawl. The Spanish circuit I was in hadn't seen much growth in the last 5-6 years. As a matter of fact i know of at least two areas in the circuit where Spanish congregations were combined. In the past that would've been unheard of. Regarding money, I was in Spanish my whole life and served in various congregations and in most of them the contributions were poor. The same thing is happening in Mexico when it comes to growth and money which is great news.

  one of the many books that helped me to question about the bible narrative is the one from israel finkelstein, the bible unearthed.

  archaeology is one of the fascinating sciences and complicated, since you have to interpret/reinterpret the history based on the artifacts, remains, ruins, relics, paintings, sculptures, etc.

  that is found in certain area where a civilization existed.

  "Unearthed" is a great read. It was one of the gems that made me rethink the way I look at the Bible. And that is that it's definitely not inspired by a god.

  Assembly experiences that strech the truth

  elder and his wife build a flash house.. they go on the stage at an assembly and give an experiences of how they sold the flash house to simplify their life so they can go pioneering.. the real story.. elder and wife can't afford the flash house and have to sell it he never goes pioneering she does until they are declared bankrupt.. why were they bankrupt?.

  the money leaft over from the flash house they invested in a yet to be build apartment and the developer goes bankrupt takeing their money.. just one of many.. karter..

  A couple I know lost their nice big house. They had to move in to a small basement apartment where he joined his joined his wife as a regular pioneer. Well wouldn't you know it, in an assembly soon after they are being interviewed for simplifying their life. Many times COs have a difficult time finding what the org asks for in the outlines so they really have to stretch the truth to make the interviews fit.

  there is usually a metamorphosis that takes place for a person to leave the jehovah's witness religion.

  most people do not just up and go simply because they realize this could not be the truth.

  it often takes time.. for those that go to meetings or engage in the ministry, will you forever continue doing these things, knowing that it is all bs?

  I don't ever remember the mirrors being covered in the women's restroom at the convention I went to but then again I never went into a women's bathroom lol. Why did they cover the mirrors? Sounds weird.

  Have you noticed this trend on social media amongst witnesses...?

  it seems that every 2nd witness often posts pictures of themselves at conventions, or out in 'service'.

  but i have noticed that they never seem to post anything about the actual "spiritual content" of their activity!

  instead, it is pictures of them with their witness "friends", along with some contrite comment like #bestlifeever (arrghhh).
